Website Accessibility
Our web designers Surfocracy worked to the very highest standards with regard to building our site to the fully accesible. The Disabilities Discrimination Act (DDA) makes it a legal requirement to ensure organisations take reasonable steps to make their products and services accesible to disabled people. Surfocracy followed accessibility guidelines as laid down by W3C.
Tenants and residents were invited to test the website as well, and were asked to follow a list of twenty questions to ensure that information was clear and easy to find. HAFAD (Hammersmith and Fulham Action for Disability) did a group session following the same criteria. In both cases, feedback was incorporated into the last stages of the build. Finally, we also asked our staff to test the website before we launched, some of the staff members had dyslexia and dyspraxia and they to, answered a set series of questions and were encouraged to report problems if there were any and give general feedback.
Text size
If you need to alter the text size on the website you can go to View, Text Size and choose the largest size available. Or if you have a mouse with a wheel, you can hold down the Ctrl key and roll the wheel until the text size increases or decreases.
