H & F Homes has regular maintenance checks done on all lifts in the borough to keep them working properly.
If the lift breaks down you should tell the caretaker or your local housing office immediately. If the lift breaks down outside office hours, contact our emergency services.
The council undertakes to respond to all lift breakdowns in 24 hours. Many reported breakdowns are caused by misuse or vandalism. Please try to prevent this by using the lifts properly. For instance, do not block the doors. If you see anyone misusing a lift, report this to the police or your housing officer wherever possible.
Remember, IF THERE IS A FIRE NEVER USE THE LIFT.
