Horticultural maintenance
Horticultural maintenance:
H & F Homes are responsible for the hard and soft landscaping on the estates; this means trees, flowers, plants and bushes, as well as fences, verges, cutting the grass etc.
We recognise that a healthy and pleasant environment helps reduce crime, increases pride in our estates as well as being visually more stimulating for all our tenants, residents and visitors.
We will shortly be going out to tender with the council for the new horticultural maintenance contract, and these new contracts will be let in 2008.
Playgrounds:
H & F Homes has recently contracted ROSPA to carry out quarterly and annual safety inspections of all our estate based play sites. The first inspections will be completed in February 07. These inspections will enable us to identify and prioritise what equipment needs replacing or repairing.
The council is currently tendering it's Ground's Maintenance contract, which includes the repair of play equipment in parks and open spaces throughout the borough. H & F Homes are working with the Environment Department to ensure the ongoing maintenance or repair of our play equipment is also included in the Council's contract.
