- Operation ten pin - is a joint venture between the police, council, H&F Homes and other agencies to tackle a wide range of issues in a particular area. It usually happens over a short period of time, with the area benefitting from a number of diferent services. It was used sucessfully on Fulham Court, SW6 on Thursday 20th September, when officers from the police, fire brigade, estate warden, anti-social behaviour unit, area housing office, graffiti action and education welfare services worked together on the estate. The action included identifying and removing abandoned or unauthorised vehicles, removing graffiti, dealing with truancy, and the estate wardens and police carrying out joint patrols into the evening. The community payback scheme provided people to weed and litter-pick, and their hard work has greatly assisted the caretakers. The operation was for just one day, but everyone involved is now following up their actions to make sure the good work is not lost.
