Anti-Social behaviour
H&F Homes regards anti-social behaviour by any resident as unacceptable.
We have a policy of zero tolerance of anti-social behaviour and residents who engage in it will be held to account and could be evicted from their homes for breaking their tenancy agreements. We will also take tough enforcement action against leaseholders or the tenants of leaseholders who break the law by engaging in anti-social behaviour. See our ASB Summary here.
Hammersmith & Fulham has minimum standards that all complainants of ASB and hate crime can expect to receive when they report ASB. These cover issues such as how soon we will interview you after a report, how often we will contact you during the life of your case and what steps we may take to resolve the problem. The Policing Pledge is incorporated into these standards.
The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 defined anti-social behaviour as:
“Acting in a manner that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as himself”. See examples of ASB
The Community Safety Unit of the Council’s definition is:
‘Anti-social behaviour exists where there is unwelcome activity that causes alarm and distress to individuals or families. Acts of ASB can range from noise nuisance to violent behaviour. Criminal behaviour includes racial harassment and hate crime and the council takes a zero tolerance approach to all criminal behaviour. ASB does not include behaviour that would be deemed reasonable by most people’
