Our Commitment

We encourage anyone experiencing or witnessing anti-social behaviour to contact us so that we can do something about it. Once we are told about an anti-social behaviour issue, we will:

  • take all reports of any anti-social behaviour seriously and keep them confidential;
  • offer see you within 24 hours when you report serious cases, such as racial harassment and domestic violence;
  • agree with you what action we will take;
  • investigate all complaints of anti-social behaviour thoroughly;
  • keep you informed of the progress of your complaint at least once a month;
  • send you a satisfaction questionnaire once your case is closed;
  • tell you how to contact other agencies that can support you including, Citizens Advice Bureau, Victim Support, the Police and other Volunteer agencies;
  • make any damage caused by anti-social behaviour safeĀ as soon as possible;
  • carry out extra security work in serious cases as soon as possible;
  • monitor all cases; and
  • offer to re-house you and your family in cases where your life is in danger or you are at risk of violence. In these cases, we will re-house you in a similar property to yours if we get support from the police
  • use demoted tenancy orders against any secure tenants if they cause anti-social behaviour (this means converting their tenancy to a non-secure tenancy);
  • use the tools provided to us by the government;
  • review our policies and procedures every year;

If you are a witness we will help you write statements, explain the court process to you, and make sure you have access to a private room at the court so you do not feel intimidated. We will also arrange transport where necessary, and make sure one of our officer stays with you throughout the court hearing.
